After a month of breather I was finally back in University to start my second semester.Boy did time pass by really fast.I've learnt a lot from last semester one of which was to stop procrastinating and start doing.
This time around Mr Charles told us to go back home and do some research about the person/artist you admire. We were asked to be able to present a 2 minute long speech about the artists biography and why we feel in love with their art work.

What was going on in my mind the moment he asked what artist I admired was that I froze. It occurred to me that I never really had a true idol that I would constantly looked up to.I mean moms pretty cool but she's alright, dad never really did much art.In short,I never really was being influenced by anybody to like art, I just did.Although I admire a few peoples art here and there occasionally  when I see them on screen I never really stop to bother about their names.

So as I got home I sat down on my chair to google search what kind of artist I'd admire. However,I sat there for a good 5 minutes just feeling dumbfounded by how to start the research," what am I going to type so I can find the artist I'd admire" "Do I need to be specific as to what art I'd like"'But I cant choose, theres way to many".So I sat there and tried to google local artist but non had my taste, when people say art often they think about all sorts of art,the Picasso kinds of art, which are okay but I  for one didn't really go goo goo gaga  over them. After much thought I went to Pintrest and just searched art.Out pops all sorts of different kinds of art,and thats when I realised that everything is art.Art isn't just about drawing on paper ,art was anything creative.

As for me I don't really have a specific kind of art style that tied too.

But not to blaber on for to long I guess I'll cut it short from now on.One of the artist that I have fallen in love with her work is Zaria Forman.

A little bit on Zaria's biography

Zaria mostly works using soft pastels and uses her fingers to smudge and blend them on canvas.

Zaria Forman was born in South Natric,MASS on October 29th 1982. She grew up in Piermont,NY in a small beautiful town 30 minutes North of Manhattan. Now she is currently lives in Brooklyn,NY where she has her own studio.Although she is currently focusing on art,she is also a  yoga teacher and a jewellery designer.

The things I found interesting of her was her how she had so much  passion towards her drawings/paintings.When asked where she had gotten her inspiration,She had mentioned that her inspiration came in her early life. She had one of those childhoods that I've dreamed of having. She traveled all over the world to remote landscapes which  we're subjects for her mothers fine art in photography. There on se developed an appreciation for the beauty of the ever changing shy and sea.

She mentioned that she was lucky enough to have the privilege to witness far off storms on the western deserts plains ..I've learnt that she was really interested in the elements of water and how they absorb and reflect light in various forms. She took her time to study and enjoys taking challenges on how to fully capture the transition  between states and enjoy the challenge of such sublime experience into her work.

Something that she mentioned  really moved me. In the article stated "The different forms of illuminated waters give rise to the dreamy, atmospheric sense that I hope will transport the viewer to a remote region on earth"

  1. Good Start. Loved the quote! How did she get immersed in her state of lucid visions? YOu should investigate this phenomenon and seek more knowledge. Discuss this as well here in which I expect more posts!
