Sketchnote Interior Physical Components - Fill in the space
We were given a diagram of a One point perspective drawing and was then later asked to fill it in with human figures and objects. There was endless possibilities when it came to filling in the empty drawing spaces.I decided to keep it simple and drew random human figures here and there according to eve level and size.
Rendering Perspective (Watercolour)
An overview of the busy roads in a small town
Reflection :
In the picture, the painting looks very much dull. I've came to realise that this water colour rendering was to simple. When Miss said that we should control the amount of colour used in a picture, I made some research and most of these watercolour paintings were simple, basic and left a lot of white spaces unfilled. As Mr Redzwan had said less is more and so that was what I did exactly,to be honest I quite liked my rendering, there wasn't to much colour to distract the soft tone.Tho I admit I could have done better by adding at least a bit more shades into it to make it look a bit more lively. I suppose everyone has their own style and preference when it comes to rendering. This I've realised from looking at my fellow classmates works, I've noticed some of them colour the entire page, crazy colours flying everywhere I'd say but yet they still got similar marks as me.

Reflection :
So far I've learnt a lot about perspective drawing during my foundation years. Recalling back I knew it was an important for a designer to know basic perspective in order to create more depth and dimension in their drawings. This time around Miss Norji and Miss Rafidah have thought me more in depth as to what these points and angles are called.

Isometric Drawings
On the 19th till the 22snd of May our school had organised a field trip for us to Pulau Redang Island ,Terengganu. The trip lasted for 3 days,2 nights.During our stay we had a lot of fun activities. On the plus side,we even had a mini lecture session about Isometric Drawings.
In addition to that,as a fun exercise we were also asked to draw any interesting element that we would find in the resort, being the nature enthusiast I've decided to draw a dried crippled leaf that I found buried under the beach sands.

Tiny Details
For this assignment we were asked to draw a close up of an object as detailed as possible. We were given a few selections as to what objects to draw. The objects were leaves, watches, cars, shoes or bugs.I decided to take the challenge and drew myself a beetle.I searched up google and was pleased to find a few interesting looking patterned bugs.
At first I had in mind a completely different composition for my bug drawing. However, Ms Norgi decided otherwise and asked me to draw my beetle huger, making it cover my entire paper. And so this was the result :-
Reflection:
To be honest,im not very keene on the composition either, but it doesn't bother me much. I also think I could have done better if the drawing was a bit more downsized since i wasn't to comfortable drawing in a bigger scale.Overall, I felt that this assignment made me open up more to try and expand me from my comfort zone.
Sektchnote
For this task we were required to watch a movie and map out a synopsis of the story by inquiring what we have learnt based on the 6 fundamentals of note taking which are Letters,Bullets,Frames,Connecters,Shadows andPeeps.
The movie that I've chosen was Freaky Friday.

Reflection:
This was an interesting assignment. Never have I thought I would have been able to draw such cartoon like characters, since I have never been much fond of the art style. I realised that this assignment was good for me to brach out further from my comfort zone and start trying new design out.

Orthographic Sketches
Orthographic Sketches letter " X"
We were each given a lucky draw to see which letter we would revived. As for me I've gotten " X'.We are required to draw the Plan Elevation as well as the 3 D view of object. Converting the scale from 1: 50 to 1 :100 using the scale ruler.
Basic Plan Elevation & 3 D View Sketch
letter "X"
We were also given a task to drawn any random object we pleased and draw it out as a basic plan.I've decided to draw out my trinket box by using the scale 1:50 to 1:75
Basic Plan elevation & 3D View Sketch

Visual Diary : Physical Components
Visual Diary: Task 4
We we're required to draw a few basic Physical components such as a chair, table, upholstered seating and a storage.
(a) Chair
(b) Table
(c) Storage
(d) Upholstered Seating
Reflection :
While's doing this assignment I came to realised how messy I am at drawing, even when it came to the basics. It seems highly impossible for me to achieve a perfect clean and straight outline that everyone owh so easily does.It bugs me that I have the compulsive need to go over each line again and again ( the way I do with pencils ),which gradually makes the drawing a lot more worse then it already is.I suppose Im still not used to using pens, they are tricky, one mistake and your done. However,of course this silly matter would not stop me from actually trying to be more confident with my line strokes.

Visual Diary Task : Sketch Note
The five Basic Elements
This is my version of a character
You can see the evolution of how my character came from a stickman into a young lady.
We were then asked to further enhance our characters by giving "life" to it.
This is done by drawing the characters in action. For example, waving, sitting, walking and even jumping.
In this task we were required to draw using the 6 fundamentals of Visual note taking :
1. Letters
2. Bullets
3. Frames
4. Connectors
5. Shadows
6. Peps
I've decided to draw the saying "BULLETPROOF" since the word resembled me of strength. I added the 6 fundamentals of the visual note taking into this drawing.
Using Visuals we were asked to draw a quick sketch on what came to mind when our lecturer said "Reading is listening with your ears"

Expression in Sketching
Assignment 1.1b
For this task we were asked to take pictures of 6 random objects that has been laid out in any style and sketch them out.The ONLY methods to sketching these objects were hatching, cross hatching, scribbling or even stippling. We we're asked to draw free hand straight with no trace of outlines.
Reflection:
To be honest, this was a tough one, not to say it was impossible but for the first time I felt like I wasn't in control of the outcome. Since we we're asked to not sketch the outlines, it was difficult for me to shape the correct shape. Make sense? Here I've decided to use cross hatching + Scribbling + Stippling . I did have a fun go using these methods and always tend to cross hatch where ever there are larger areas, since in my opinion is the fastest method.
Feedback:
After receiving back the assignment, I had gotten a poor result ( 5/10) to be exact. Half the mark of getting a whole. My lecturers stated that my tonal values were poor and because of that, it was difficult to differentiate the shadows and depth of certain objects. With that I did fully realise my sketching skills were softer amongst the rest of my course mates. I know this because I've always had a tendency to sketch very light and airy. I do not take their criticism markings as a bad thing, in fact I would do my best and improve my rendering skills and perfect my tonal value in order to improve.
